Soda Stereo's Gustavo Cerati dies at 55

Argentine rock star Gustavo Cerati has died, four years after a stroke left him in a coma.

The death was reported in a statement by his family Thursday on his official Facebook page.

The 55-year old was the former lead singer of the Argentine rock band Soda Stereo, which was one of the most popular groups in Latin America in the 1980s and 1990s.
