The Bowling Green State University Graduate College prepares graduate students for real-world challenges within a vibrant research-based, interdisciplinary and international graduate environment. Approximately 2,500 students are enrolled in 17 doctoral and 54 master’s degrees, together with one specialist and 23 certificate programs across six academic colleges.

Graduate programmes

College of Business students experience one of the most unique and innovative business programs in the country, graduating with real-world knowledge of the global marketplace through interactive learning programs and internships. Graduate programs include the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) as well as Business Administration courses.

Since 1929, the College of Arts and Sciences at BGSU has offered innovative and engaging academic programs, educating young leaders through a rich liberal arts and science curriculum. Programs popular with international students include the MSC in Computer Science and Master’s in Public Administration (MPA)

The College of Education and Human Development creates an academic environment grounded in intellectual discovery and guided by rational discourse. The Mental Health and School Counseling program prepares highly qualified, ethical, and culturally competent professional counselors who advocate for social justice at home and abroad.

Students majoring in programs within the College of Health & Human Services gain the knowledge and experience necessary to look at issues critically, develop an understanding of human nature, and the skills necessary to work compassionately with people of all ages. The MSc in Interdisciplinary Gerontology (MSIG) is specifically designed for professionals in various disciplines who are seeking to acquire advanced knowledge and specialized skills to work with older adults and their families.

The College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering at BGSU houses innovative and engaging academic programs and faculty, including graduate degrees in Architecture and Construction Management.

A warm welcome

BGSU recognizes that international students need support to succeed and have a dedicated student services office that coordinates the university’s support program. The office offers immigration advice, advocacy, and programming support to make sure each student receives the help they need throughout their stay.

BGSU is located 30 minutes south of Toledo in northwest Ohio. The campus occupies a 1000-acre residential campus with park-like setting and 119 buildings including the new Stroh Center, the Wolfe Center for the Arts, Centennial Residence Hall, Falcon Heights Residence Hall, The Oaks Dining Center and Carillon Place Dining Center.

Bowling Green is a traditional college town; it offers downtown shopping, dining and entertainment within walking distance of campus. There are more than 300 student organizations on campus, a student health service, counseling center and recreation center – Perry Field House – golf course and ice arena for fitness activities. The college also plays host to more than 400 cultural events annually.
