Cristiano Ronaldo's mother is viral hit

Striker Cristiano Ronaldo has become a viral sensation across Latin America following his five-goal in 14 minutes smash during the Real Madrid v.s. Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol match on Saturday.

But Ronaldo has been outshone by none other than his mother, María Dolores dos Santos Aveiro.

Her unique celebrations have made her a social media hit, as she shouts “Sii!” when Ronaldo scores:

Dolores has over 41,000 followers on her Instagram account.

Colombian daily El Universal also shared this Youtube cartoon parody of Saturdays match:

Ronaldo’s career at the Spanish club has faced a series of ups and downs.

“Cristiano doesn’t shine anymore, he doesn’t play like he used to. You need to shine.” Real Madrid President Florentino Peréz commented.

Off the pitch

Ronaldo has also been pursuing other outlets in his spare time. The striker is rumored to be starring in director Martin Scorsese’s latest film; The Manipulator.

The striker has requested to appear in a scene alongside model Alessandra Ambrosio.

Ronaldo has also shown his softer side in a video published on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Here he appears trying out son Cristiano Ronaldo Junior (CR7 Jr.) as goalkeeper while he fires soft balls at the tiny player.

Hopefully Ronaldo will make Saturdays performance a regular occurrence.
