9 Latinas included in the 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2015

The list of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2015 is out, and Latina ladies have once again caught the attention of the Annual Independent Critics List’s panel:

91.  New entry: Anahi, Mexico 

Anahi is a Mexican actress and a singer-songwriter. She has sold more than 66 million albums throughout her music career and starred in numerous TV shows in her homeland. She is also the wife of Chiapas’ Governor Manuel Velasco Coello.

82. New entry: Isis Valverde, Brazil 


Isis is a Brazilian actress who rose to prominence in the 2010 TV show Ti Ti Ti.

70. New entry: Ximena Navarrete, Mexico (above)

Ximena represented Mexico—and won—in the 2010 Miss Universe pageant held in the United States. She has since ventured into modelling and acting.

55. New entry: Sophie Charlotte, Brazil


Sophie is an actress who has starred in many TV shows in her native Brazil. She recently married fellow actor Daniel de Oliveira.

44. Aimee Carrero, Dominican Republic

Aimee is a Hollywood actress born in the Dominican Republic. Growing up in Florida, Aimee appeared in U.S. TV shows including Cartoon Network’s Level Up TV series, and Hannah Montana. She currently stars in the sitcom Young & Hungry alongside Hannah Montana alumna Emily Osment. She is also the voice of Elena of Avalor, Disney’s first ever Latina princess.

This is Aimee’s second year in the list. She also placed 44th in the Most Beautiful Faces of 2014.

20. Fourth year: Maite Perroni, Mexico



Maite is an actress, model, singer/songwriter, and TV host who is best known as a member of Mexican music group RBD.  Maite has been included in the list four times, peaking at 10th place in the previous years.

11. Lupita Nyong’o, Mexico

Born in Mexico but raised in Kenya, Lupita gained international fame in 2013 when she played Patsey, a slave in the period film 12 Years a Slave. She won the an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role, making her the first Mexican and Kenyan actress to win such a prize.

During her three-year inclusion in the list, Lupita’s highest rank was 3rd place.

9. Ana de Armas, Cuba 

Ana found success at the age of 16 with her first film Una rosa de Francia. She has since went on to star in various TV shows and films, most prominently the 2015 movie Knock Knock with Keanu Reeves. She is set to star in the VOD film Exposed, again with Keanu Reeves.

8. Camilla Belle, Brazil



Camilla has topped the list in 2010, beating the likes of Emma Watson, Rose Byrne, and Marion Cotillard. The half-Brazilian half-American is now on its 10th year in the list. She has appeared in numerous films and one of Jonas Brothers’ music video.
