Mexican Beatles fans break Guinness World Record

Around 294 die-hard Beatles fans created a new Guinness World Record for the greatest number of fans in fancy dress in the same place, in Mexico City over the weekend.

Doubles of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr met in the capital’s Chapultepec district, sporting fake moustaches and retro sunglasses.

The fans sang their favorite songs from the iconic band, took selfies and generally celebrated one of Britain’s most loved bands.

The previous record was held by some 250 fans. Guinness has yet to make the attempt official.
