El Chapo in “state of chaos”, according to lawyer

Mexican kingpin Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán might have agreed to U.S. extradition, but the former world’s most wanted criminal is in an extremely delicate state of health according to his lawyer.

Chapo’s lawyer, Juan Pablo Bandillo, commented that the former drug trafficker is in a “state of chaos”, adding that he was “very yellow, shaking and with blurry vision,” Norte Digital reports.

Demanding a fair and humane extradition for his client, Bandillo added “I can confirm that the situation is so serious, that it has provoked serious health problems due to this torture, diabolic torture, which has him close to collapse.”

One of El Chapo’s children, Rosa Isela Guzmán Ortiz, has spoken out about the drug lord’s prior relations with the Mexican government, citing that he was betrayed by officials.

During a recent interview with the Guardian, Ortiz added that her father even crossed into the U.S. on two occasions to visit her and her children.
